The founders of Drapery Rods Direct have been involved in the drapery and window coverings industry for over 20 years in the suburban Washington DC Region.

We cut our teeth as drapery installers, and did so well we ended up serving as installers for just about everyone, from large national companies to small part-time decorators. We completed large commercial installations and difficult installations in homes built in the eighteenth century. You name it, and we've probably installed it. From simple cafe-curtains to extravagant multi-layered treatments hung from thirty-foot ceilings. We've also managed to install just about every type of drapery and curtain rod made.

One thing we learned is that selecting the correct drapery hardware isn't always easy.

As installers, many of the folks we worked with were fantastic decorators or designers, but they didn't always know which particular drapery or curtain hardware was required for their application. We worked closely with these designers and decorators to ensure that when it to was time to install, all of the hardware was correct.

After spending so many years working with others to help them make correct drapery and curtain hardware decisions, we decided to put our expertise to work and launch Drapery Rods Direct. We decided to sell what we know. And we know drapery and curtain hardware as well as anybody out there. Everyone who works here has been in the industry for over 20 years.
